3. Approval of agenda
DC - moved, JS - seconded

4. Membership Report
18 dues were received - half are ACRL members. All on Board - yes. From mailing list and listserv around 110 "members". 66 people in NM are ACRL members.

5. Treasurer's Report
$3117, $100 from ACRL is a reimbursement not automatic deposit for use in administrative cost such as mailing.

6. Results of surveying
3 respondents to web survey. Discussed other ways to get a survey done and info out about the organization. One idea was to have a table at the NMLA Conference in 2005 with membership information and a survey available.

7. Status of setting up tours of a variety of libraries
Discussed ways to achieve this. Subcommittee (Joani will ask Kathleen to help and send a call for volunteers and libraries). Possibly 3 tours - Fall, Spring, and Summer. Possibly have a tour along with a workshop.

8. NMARL web page status
Cassandra will obtain a domain name and space. Discussed what should be included on website that is not currently - related links (i.e. ACRL, ALA, NM library associations, WebJunction, etc.) and how to join the NMARL listserv.

9. NMARL at NMLA 2005
a) Programs
"Professional Development Opportunities for Support Staff - cosponsored with Paraprofessional SIG. Second half of program will be brainstorming run by Joani and Angela and the information gathered will be put on the NMARL website. "Government Information - lunch/meeting will be held afterwards.
b) NMARL table at Conference - Angela will work on promotional material for the table and Info Fair.
c) NMARL annual meeting at Conference - Friday, April 1, noon - 145

10. Two vacant positions on the Board
a) Four-Year Graduate Programs Representative - Kate Manuel leaving. John will check on getting someone.
b) Library Staff Representative - will wait until after NMLA Conference to hopefully drum up more interest.

11. Changing name of our organization to New Mexico Academic and Research Libraries (as opposed to "Librarians")
Discussion: The organization is for all people who work in libraries, not just librarians. The organization is for the people rather than the institution. Vote: 1 abstention, 1 not present, 4 yes. Passed to change name to New Mexico Academic and Research Libraries.

12. Partnering with other organizations
NMCAL is not interested. NMLA, possibly something similar to ALA-ACRL or more of an informal partnership? Partnering would help keep communications clear among the NM library associations.

13. Soliciting members
After brainstorming ways to solicit members, the following will be done: postcard advertising programs being sponsored by NMARL at NMLA Annual Conference as well as meeting and lunch; table at NMLA conference with promotional materials; and promotional materials at the Info Fair at NMLA Conference.

14. Programming for NMLA 2006
Keep thinking of ideas for 2006 programming as well as separate workshops. The deadline for the conference was early this year and will be coming soon.

Meeting adjourned at 11:43 am.
